Wisdom from Confucius

Tzu Chang asked Confucius about benevolence.
Confucius said, The ability to enact the five everywhere under heaven is benevolence.
Asked to elaborate, Confucius said,
Courtesy, tolerance, trustworthiness, quickness, and generosity.
With courtesy there is no mockery.
With tolerance there is support from the people.
With trustworthiness there are entrusted responsibilities from the people.
With quickness there is merit.
With generosity people can be employed willingly.
