Poem a Day 5

Aeris Aviditas

A useful thing, to seek, to have, to hold;
it makes the corn to rise, the wine to flow,
and builds security to make us bold
and keeps us safe, and sets the world aglow
with luxuries beyond what beasts can know,
allowing more and more, and without cease,
and costs but more and more of love and peace.

    Is there a name for this month's style in which the last line suddenly turns the poem in a very different direction?

    Not that particular feature, as far as I know. The stanzas themselves are rime royale. It won't be for the whole month -- there's a theme to the series, and so there will probably be about three or four more before I'll diversify.
