The Bass Singers of TikTok, "Santiana".
As sea shanties go, "Santiana" (also known as Santianna, Santianno, Santy Ana, and many other variations) is especially peculiar, since it consists almost entire of sarcastic lies used to mock Santa Anna, the controversial President of Mexico; it seems to date from shortly after the Mexican-American War, presumably with a particular ship named Santa Anna (whose name would have almost certainly had nothing to do with the caudillo) in mind. There are a lot of variations, but the common theme is mocking Santa Anna's attempt to pass himself off as the "Napoleon of the West". In almost any version, it talks about the "plains of Mexico", falsely claims that General Taylor "run away" (rather than being so successful against Santa Anna that it carried Taylor to the White House), invents a victory at the Battle of Molina Del Rey or sometimes the Battle of Monterrey (at both of which the Mexicans actually lost to the US, and at which Santa Anna was not even present), attributes a number of completely over-the-top heroic feats to Santa Anna, and claims he died in Cape Horn (rather than in Mexico City). Santa Anna was in fact missing one leg in the Mexican-American War, but he had lost it earlier during the so-called Pastry War.
The Longest Johns have a very good version, of which the above is a cover.
